When a transducer fails, examinations stop. The question is not only what the repair costs, but how long you are standing still.
Our answer: when you order the repair from us, the loaner ultrasound probe is included. You send us the faulty probe, we send you a working one, and your department keeps scanning while we repair yours.
Three out of four loaners leave our facility within 24 hours. More than half of all repairs we handle run with a loaner alongside. It is our standard case, not an exception.

Will a loaner probe fit my ultrasound system?
This is where loaner offers usually get vague.
We keep a compatibility database of 2,481 documented probe-to-system combinations across 288 ultrasound system models. Every entry records where the match comes from: manufacturer documentation or our own repair and testing experience.
So we do not guess whether a replacement will run on your Voluson, your EPIQ or your Aplio. We look it up. If your combination is not in the database, we tell you instead of shipping a probe that connects but does not image.

Loaner, exchange or refurbished probe: which one do you need?
Loaner probe: your probe is repairable and you want it back. You stay operational, and your original returns repaired. Included when you order the repair from us.
Exchange probe: the repair would take longer than your schedule allows, or the probe is beyond economical repair. You receive a tested replacement in exchange for your defective unit.
Refurbished ultrasound probe: you need a permanent spare or an additional transducer. Refurbished probes cost significantly less than new ones and go through exactly the same testing as every repaired probe.

Since October 2024 alone, our workshop has handled 254 distinct probe models from 16 manufacturers for 210 customers in 14 countries, with deliveries to 21 countries, covering standard, TEE and 3D/4D transducers.

How every loaner and refurbished probe is tested
"ISO 13485" appears on every repair provider's website. This is what our testing means in practice:
- Electrical safety to EN 62353: leakage current measured and the value recorded, not just a pass/fail tick
- 35 check points per standard transducer across six inspection stages
- Crystal condition graded on a five-level scale
- Visual assessment of eleven components: lens, housing, seal, strain reliefs, connector, lock, contact pins, cable jacket and more
- Around 19 photographs per inspection
- Incoming and outgoing protocol for every serial number, archived and locked against later changes
TEE probes go through three additional stages: mechanical movement, handle and insertion tube.
